Vol. 2 No. 3 (2026): Volume 2, Issue 3
ASIDE Internal Medicine, Volume 2, Issue 3 (2026), published on 1 July 2026, features six peer-reviewed articles spanning national outcomes research, population-level mortality trends, inpatient quality improvement, and evidence synthesis in internal medicine.
The original research includes a retrospective analysis of 2.3 million U.S. hospitalizations for diabetic ketoacidosis with and without coma, a quality-improvement initiative for the inpatient care of acute exacerbations of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and two population-based mortality studies: disparities and trends in polycythemia vera–related mortality in U.S. adults aged 45 years and older from 1999 to 2023, and twenty-five years of angina-related mortality in adults aged 65 years and older.
The reviews comprise a pairwise and network meta-analysis of ribonucleic acid interference therapeutics for the management of hypertension, and a GRADE-assessed meta-analysis of adjunctive remotely supervised transcranial direct current stimulation in multiple sclerosis, covering cognitive, fatigue, mobility, and quality-of-life outcomes.
All articles in this issue are peer-reviewed, published with DOIs, and available online under the journal’s open-access policy.
