Indexing and discoverability

This page states plainly where ASIDE Surgery stands today. We do not claim coverage the journal does not have.

Current status

• No ISSN has yet been assigned to this journal. Applications for a print and an online ISSN are in preparation.
• No DOI prefix has yet been registered for this journal, so articles do not yet carry DOIs.
• The journal is not listed in DOAJ, PubMed, PubMed Central, MEDLINE, Scopus, Web of Science or Index Copernicus. Most of these require a published record and, in several cases, an ISSN before an application can even be made.

What is true now

• Immediate open access. Every article is free to read from the day it is published, with no embargo and no subscription.
• CC BY 4.0. Authors retain copyright and grant a Creative Commons Attribution licence.
• No fees. There is no article processing charge, submission fee or publication fee at any stage.
• Double-anonymous peer review for all research content.
• Structured metadata is exposed over OAI-PMH, so harvesters and aggregators can collect it.
• Article pages carry citation metadata that Google Scholar and similar services read.
• Content is preserved through the preservation arrangements described on the journal's About page.

What happens next

As the journal publishes and meets each service's eligibility rules, applications will be made in the usual order: ISSN, then Crossref for DOIs, then DOAJ, and later the citation databases that require a longer publication record. This page will be updated when a listing is granted, and not before.
