To protect patients, we require:

  • Written patient consent for any potentially identifiable case / image.
  • Removal or masking of names, dates, hospital numbers, and facial features where appropriate.
  • A consent/ethics statement inside the manuscript.
  • Adherence to COPE/ICMJE guidance on case reports.

Submissions without consent may be returned before review.
